Eyes That Love You is a documentary feature and limited docuseries about children without adequate parental care, foster families, care professionals, and adults who were once fostered themselves. Rejecting sentimentality and easy moral framing, the project examines what it means for a child to lose a sense of safety, how life unfolds between the biological family, institutional care and a substitute home, and whether foster care can alter the course of a life. Through intimate testimony and a socially urgent subject, the film and series offer an unvarnished portrait of a system defined as much by its limits as by the individuals struggling within it to restore trust, belonging and the possibility of a future. Rather than asking for pity, Eyes That Love You confronts questions of responsibility, empathy and the fragile, life-changing power of family. The feature and limited series are scheduled for completion in mid-2027.
